6^th IBSUniversity Graduation and SCU Presentation Ceremony

IBSUniversity, Port Moresby–9th April 2026

IBSUniversity proudly celebrated its 6^th Graduation and Southern Cross University (SCU) Presentation Ceremony for the Class of 2025, on Thursday, 9th April 2026 at the IBSUniversity campus.

Under the theme “Driving Innovation and Leadership in the Modern World,” this year’s ceremony honoured the achievements, resilience, and future potential of graduates as they prepare to take on leadership roles in an ever-evolving global landscape.

The official programme commenced with the Procession of Graduands, followed by an invocation and the national anthem.

The event featured key addresses from notable leaders, including:

• Mrs. Auvita Rapilla, Chancellor of IBSUniversity, who delivered the Welcome and Graduation Address
• Dr. Glory Sujitha Antony, Acting Vice Chancellor, who presented the milestones of the University
• Prof. Michael Ewing, Executive Dean, Business, Law and Arts at Southern Cross University, representing SCU
• Hon. Kinoka Hotune Feo, MP, Minister for Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST) & Sports, who delivered the Special Address.

The ceremony proceeds on to the main occasion, the Presentation and Confirmation of Graduands, awarding of academic honours, oath-taking, and two graduate responses, reflecting on the journey and experiences of the Class of 2025.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Winnie Michaelyn Wenzel, Registrar of IBSUniversity, followed by closing remarks and the recessional led by the Chancellor.

IBSUniversity remains committed to nurturing future-ready graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values to thrive in the modern world.
