The IBSUniversity annual Level Up fashion show lit up last Friday of March, with wowful screams of excitement and encouragement from fellow students as first year students’ showcase creativity, confidence, and talent in fashion and modeling.

The fashion show was successfully hosted with the aim to promote innovation, teamwork, and personal development among students while providing practical exposure in event coordination and fashion presentation.

The Acting Vice Chancellor- Dr. Sujitha delivered the open remarks by saying, “this program is not just a fashion show but a holistic approach for student development in confidence and communication.” 

The fashion show featured four categories: Formal Wear, Contemporary Wear, Sports Wear, and Traditional Wear. Each model confidently presented their assigned category, demonstrating creativity, cultural appreciation, professionalism, and stage presence.

We were graced by three external judges, Mr. Shane Diap, Ms. Jayde Ovia and Mr. David Rei Kilapat to assess participants based on confidence and presentation.

“It takes a lot of courage for someone to be on stage in modeling, don’t take it too hard on yourselves,” said Ms. Ovia, the female judge.

The three external judges’ professional evaluation ensured transparency and fairness in the selection of the top male and top female models. The winners of the show are as follows: Top Male Model- William Mirupasi & Top Female Model- Marcia Sahin.

The Level Up Fashion Show is a student led initiative and it was a well-coordinated event that highlighted the talent and potential of IBSUniversity students in event management, communication and confidence. With the support of the Head of Student Affairs Dr. Muthu Prabha and the Director of Institutional Development – Mr. Sagara, student mentors, judges, and the organizing committee, the program demonstrated the value of student-led initiatives in promoting holistic development.
