IBS University and Southern Cross University celebrated their 4th graduation ceremony and presentation yesterday, at the prestigious Mt. Eriama Campus, 11 Mile, outside Port Moresby. 

The event marked yet another milestone in the academic journey of their students. It brought together faculty, staff, students, families, and esteemed guests to celebrate the achievements of the graduating classes of 2024.

The ceremony featured a keynote address from His Excellency Shri Inbasekar Sundaramurthi, Indian High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea, and a special address by Mr. Ivan Pomaleu, Chief Secretary to the Government, Department of Prime Minister and National Executive Council.

Highly respected and reputable in their cause, both gentlemen shared insights and words of wisdom with the graduates who were now set for the next phase in their life’s journey.

Also, in attendance to offer further words of wisdom and encouragement were Prof. Jon Hill, Executive Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering (SCU), Amb. Gabriel Pepson, Chancellor, IBS University, and Prof. Ramachandran Arunachalam, Vice Chancellor, IBS University.

The ceremony highlighted the outstanding achievements of the graduating classes, including academic excellence, leadership, and community service.

From groundbreaking research to innovative entrepreneurial ventures, the graduating students had demonstrated a commitment to excellence and a passion for making a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

All in all, it was an incredibly proud moment for the graduates of both IBS University and Southern Cross University. As is the case with every other graduation ceremony, the event signified a time-honored tradition that marked the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance, and growth.
