Students Receive Servant Leadership and Good Values Certificates Through Senisim PNG Program.

[IBSUniversity, Port Moresby, September 20, 2024] – Demonstrating their focus on personal development, twenty-four students from IBSUniversity were awarded certificates last Friday, officially becoming facilitators of the Senisim PNG good values and servant leadership program.

The eleven-week training program wrapped up with a certificate presentation, celebrating these students for their dedication and hard work. Participants like Kiesha May Kolaip shared how the program has shaped her perspective, saying, “It reminds me every day to live by my values and understand what they mean to me.”

Before even graduating, these talented individuals have been given the important role of guiding and inspiring the next generation of Papua New Guineans. As facilitators in the Senisim PNG program, they’ll lead meaningful discussions, set an example, and encourage their peers to act on the ten core values: Hope, Humility, Integrity, Adding Value, Responsibility, Commitment, Empathy, Purpose, Listening, and Attitude—driving a collective mission for societal change.

Mr. Pena Pokeya, Country Director of the Senisim PNG Program, highlighted the program’s ability to drive meaningful change, stating, “How do we make good choices? We make good choices when we have good values. This program is a movement aimed at shaping the future of this country, and participants are doing it not just for themselves but for the nation as a whole.”

This initiative highlights both the outstanding skills and dedication of IBSUniversity students and the university’s focus on advancing leadership growth and community engagement. By encouraging students to take on facilitative roles, the university is investing in Papua New Guinea’s future by strengthening communities and advancing sustainable progress. It ensures that the upcoming generation of Papua New Guineans is armed with the values, skills, and knowledge required to effect positive change in the nation.
