Fazila Bazari, Director of Amazing Port Moresby addressing the students.

Addressing the students on campus, Ms. Bazari encouraged the students to step forward and contribute their time, talents, and creativity to Papua New Guinea’s 50th Independence anniversary on September 16, 2025.

“This milestone is a celebration of national reflection, pride, and progress. And it needs the energy and ideas of our young people,” she shared.

Ms. Bazari also talked about the many ways students can get involved as volunteers, from event coordination and cultural programs to environmental clean-ups and welcoming guests.

IBSUniversity students put up their hands to be volunteers, with dozens signing up immediately to join the national volunteer effort.

This initiative supports IBSUniversity’s mission to developing academically strong graduates that will be responsible and patriotic citizens for Papua New Guinea.
