Annual Green Growth Innovations 2025 – Business Pitch Competition

Port Moresby– [Friday 22nd August 2025] – The School of Business and Management at IBSUniversity successfully hosted the second annual Business Pitch Competition – Green Growth Innovations 2025.

This competition is a national platform for tertiary students to showcase innovative business solutions aimed at reimagining industries, regenerating communities, and driving green growth. This year, participants represented five prominent institutions: University of Papua New Guinea, Western Pacific University, Divine Word University, Pacific Adventist University, and the host university IBSUniversity.

Each team presented forward-thinking and practical business concepts designed to address pressing social, environmental, and economic challenges while promoting responsible and sustainable growth.

IBSUniversity extends its sincere appreciation to its event sponsors: Women’s Micro Bank, represented by CEO Gunanidhi Das, and the PNG Women’s Business Resource Centre (PNGWBRC), represented by Country Director Eli Webb, for their constant support of youth and women entrepreneurship. An auspicious of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IBSUniversity and PNGWBRC, establishing a strategic partnership to further enhance opportunities for women and youth in entrepreneurship and leadership.

Special acknowledgement is also given to the distinguished panel of judges—Mr. Jotam Sinopane, Ms. Ruth Kose Abe, and Ms. Anna Tarum—for their time, expertise, and constructive feedback, which added significant value to the competition and to the learning experience of the participants.

The Green Growth Innovations 2025 Business Pitch Competition was a success in collaboration, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking among young leaders. IBSUniversity remains committed to nurturing the next generation of innovators who will contribute to building a sustainable and prosperous future for Papua New Guinea.
