Inaugural Interschool Drawing Competition – PNG Culture

The School of Accounting and Finance Student Association (SAFSA) successfully organized the first ever Interschool Drawing Competition on 21st August 2025 at Luca Pacioli Hall, IBSUniversity.

Led by the President of SAFSA Gakena Martin the competition began with its rules to all participants from the four schools of IBSUniversity- School of Business & Management (SoBM), School of Accounting & Finance (SoAF), School of Economics and Development Studies (SoED) & School of Information Technology (SoIT).

 The participants were given 90 minutes to showcase their drawing skills on the theme of “PNG Culture”. A total of 18 students from the four schools took part in the competition.  Th

Three judges were present to serve for the competition, one is a lecturer from the school of business and management, another lecturer from the School of Information Technology and one admin staff from Student Services Department.

The students who participated and drawn the pictures, have shown the culture of Papua New Guinea (PNG) to a greater extent. As per the guidelines provided, two best drawings were awarded with cash prize.

 To top it off, all students who participated were presented with certificates as a token of appreciation. Mr. Manikandan Sathyamoorthy, SAFSA Coordinator and a senior lecturer in the SOAF acknowledges the SAFSA representatives led by President Gakena Martin.

The drawing competition was an initiative of SAFSA to appreciate the PNG culture in days leading up to the 50th Golden Jubilee Celebration of PNG.
