IBSUniversity pageant is a platform where confidence, creativity, leadership and social awareness is showcased, the 2026 IBSU Pageant was proudly organised in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Held under the theme “Empowering Future Leaders through Transparency, Accountability and Participation,” the pageant provided students with an opportunity to step into the spotlight, express themselves and engage with an important conversation about leadership and participation.

The occasion was made more special by the presence of distinguished pageant personalities, including the reigning Papua New Guinea Miss Bird of Paradise – Iampela Popena and Miss Enga Province – Kurie Endopio.

IBSUniversity proudly congratulates its 2026 crowned Mr and Miss IBSUniversity:
Mr IBSUniversity — Standford Konga

Miss IBSUniversity — Kiara Tau-Yohang
Also representing the School of Economics and Development Studies.

University experiences are not limited to lecture rooms. Activities such as the pageant give students opportunities to practice communication, public speaking, confidence, creativity and teamwork in a different environment.

These experiences form an important part of IBSUniversity’s approach to holistic student development, complementing students’ academic learning with practical opportunities to grow, participate and take on new challenges
By placing these ideas alongside the excitement and creativity of the pageant, IBSUniversity created an environment where students could celebrate their talents while also reflecting on what it means to become future leaders.
