The School of Accounting and Finance Student’s Association (SAFSA) Inauguration and Oath-Taking Ceremony was held on Tuesday, 21st April 2026, to welcome the 2026 Executives Team.

Dr. Arumugam Mourougane, Head of the School of Accounting and Finance, delivered the welcome remarks and proceeded with the introduction and affirmation of SAFSA- 26’s office-bearers and their oath-taking. The executive team consists of Ms. Jemaimah Kuman, who will be serving as President (Year 4, IBSU), supported by Vice President Mr. Desmond Simon (Year 3, IBSU). The administrative functions will be managed by Secretary Mr. Phaniel Philip (Year 4, IBSU) and Joint Secretary Ms. Rebacca Yakumb (Year 3, IBSU), while Mr. Kevin Kati (Year 2, IBSU) will oversee the treasury. The association’s events will be coordinated by two Program Organizers: Ms. Cherry Cassandra Kipa (Year 1, IBSU) and Ms. Kimberley Ila (Year 1, SCU).

The event also featured Ms. Renet Urape, Accountant from the National Procurement Commission, who delivered an inspiring address by sharing valuable insights about academic usefulness in workplace. She also shared her personal experience and inculcate the importance of Integrity and Honesty in her related profession.

Aligned with IBSUniversity’s holistic approach to education, the SAFSA’26 Inauguration highlights the institution’s focus on preparing student leaders for meaningful leadership roles in industry and beyond.
