IBSUniversity (IBSU) successfully hosted its two-day orientation programme on Thursday, 12th February, and Friday, 13th February 2026, at the IBSU Sir Jim McPherson Open Arena, welcoming both new and continuing students. With the theme, “Imagine, Believe, Achieve,” the orientation sets the tone for the academic year.
A total of 337 new students attended the orientation on both days, with some continuing students who also attended to support the new students with information and directions.

Key departments introduced during the programme included the Registrar’s Office, Finance, ICT, Digital Learning, Library Services, Quality Assurance, Facilities Management, the Office of the Examination Controller, Career Development Centre, Student Services, and Academics.

Each presentation and interactive session gave both new and continuing students valuable information on academic expectations, university policies, transport & accommodation and the campus support services available to them.
The second day of the programme focused on training students how to use the Moodle and ERP systems. This part of the orientation is designed to equip students with practical understanding on how to manage their academic responsibilities in both physical and online learning.

The campus tour by the IBSU Student Association representatives and the Fresher Fiesta were the enjoyable parts of the orientation programme. The tour and fiesta created an inclusive space for students to form friendships, express themselves, and experience the vibrant university campus culture.
