In the SCU degree programs at IBSU, you will learn in the Southern Cross Model.
The Southern Cross Model transforms traditional study into an immersive, focused experience built around 6-week teaching terms.
Students concentrate on one or two units at a time, creating space for deeper learning and real-world application while maintaining balance with work and life.
Since its introduction, the Southern Cross Model has delivered outstanding results. Student success rates have risen by more than 16% at the University, and by more than 20% for our SCU students at IBSU.
Recognised with both national and international awards for innovation in teaching and learning, the Southern Cross Model continues to evolve with enhanced interactive online modules, authentic assessments that reflect real world practice, and focused, active, guided classes that foster collaboration and problem solving.
