As part of the ongoing initiative to promote intellectual growth and team-oriented learning at IBSUniversity, a productive knowledge-sharing workshop with Mr. Manikandan was convened in the Corporate Board Room on Saturday, 19 July 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:30 a.m.

The session was derived from an insightful management book called, Making Sense of Change Management by Esther Cameron & Mike Green. This book is widely regarded as a practical guide for navigating complex organizational change. A total of Eighteen(18) faculty members from various schools across the university attended and participated actively.

Mr. Manikandan began the session by sincerely acknowledging Sir Mick Nades, the Founder of IBS, for providing the platform, and extended his heartfelt thanks to the Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor for their continued support.

The presentation covered three core parts of the book:

  • Part One: “The Underpinning Theory” – Mr. Manikandan take the participants to a deep dive into diverse frameworks and approaches on how to manage change effectively.
  • Part Two: “The Applications” – in this area, Mr. Manikandan gave an overview of the practical guidance, real-life examples, and useful strategies for handling various change scenarios.
  • Part Three: “Emerging Inquiries” – which is a reflection on the evolving nature of change and methods to manage it in today’s complex environments.

What made the session interesting were the interactive activities for individual and team change, encouraging the attendees to think, discuss, and contribute their own perspectives. The open conversation, allowed everyone to connect theoretical insights with practical academic experiences.

The positive feedback and appreciation from participants indicate that such sessions are timely and impactful in the context of contemporary educational leadership and institutional development.

This enriching session enhanced faculty understanding of change management which supports IBSU’s commitment to continuous professional development and knowledge exchange in the organization.
