Just a day after celebrating a partnership with Mama Bank, IBSUniversity was privileged to sign another notable Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with one of Papua New Guinea’s most respected companies, CPL Group on Thursday 12 June 2025.
The recent partnerships show how IBSUniversity is steadily linking academic learning to industry needs.
While our MoU with Mama Bank supports financial inclusion, internship and entrepreneurship, our agreement with CPL Group turns attention to education, employability, and preparing students for the workforce.
As the ink dried on the document, it stamped a formal agreement and a shared promise between IBSUniversity and CPL Group to prepare the next generation of professionals for a rapidly evolving PNG economy.
The MoU opens doors for internships, graduate placements, industry-informed curriculum development, and joint training initiatives which will give students access to one of PNG’s most diverse and dynamic business groups.
Known for its strong presence in everyday services—from City Pharmacy and Stop & Shop to Bon Café and Prouds, the industry brings decades of hands-on experience in building people and systems. Through this agreement, CPL to contributes to student learning by offering placements and sharing insights that influence what is taught in classrooms.
The partnership also has a broader vision for inclusive growth and national development in terms of aligning academic content with the needs of the business community, the MoU ensures that students are more employable, ready to take on leadership roles, and willing to give back to the communities in which they live in.
With this collaboration, IBSUniversity’s continues to build strong ties with major players in the country’s economy and it also strengthens its strategic efforts to deliver industry-aligned, practical education that serves both the student and the nation.
With two key MoU’s sealed in just the space of two days, IBSUniversity is clearly creating a path for its students that connects education with everyday life, and bridging students from the classrooms to careers.
