IBSUniversity (IBSU) took part in a panel discussion at the RISE Workshop on 14 June 2025, held at Deloitte Haus in Port Moresby. The session gave high school female students a chance to ask questions about university life, courses, and career options.

Representing IBSUniversity were Mr. Jobin M. Scaria, Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic) and Dr. Durga Prasad, Head of School Business & Management who shared useful information with students and helped answer common concerns about studying at the university.

During the session, the panel focused on the link between tertiary education and real work experience. IBSU’s team responded to questions and explained:

• The most popular academic programmes at IBSUniversity.

• What makes a student successful at university.

• Financial support available for students from low-income families.

They also discussed the strengths of IBSU’s business degrees and diplomas, and how these programmes prepare students for PNG’s job market.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions directly during the Q&A session. IBSU’s representatives answered clearly and shared advice on:

• Choosing the right programme

• How to prepare for university life

• What support is available once enrolled

The session helped clear up common misconceptions and encouraged students to start planning ahead.

This event is part of IBSUniversity’s ongoing engagement with schools, students, and groups like RISE Organization. We believe that the more informed students are, the more confident they will be when progressing into higher education.
