[IBSUniversity Mt Eriama, Wednesday, 5, November, 2024] On Wednesday, November 5th, 2024, the School of Information and Technology (SOIT) at IBSUniversity had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from Sogeri National School of Excellence (NSoE). The delegation visited the University’s AI and Robotics Lab, where students have been creating impressive tech-driven projects.
The purpose of the visit was to see the setup of the AI and Robotics Lab, including the projects done by the students, as Sogeri NSoE plans to develop their robotics lab to focus on Global Digital Competencies.
“Technology is an evolving process. When new technology with much more user-friendly and sustainable features is introduced, old technologies become outdated. We have to keep our minds young to train our students to be imaginative with the technology trend,” said Dr. Glory Sujitha, Head of SOIT.
This visit marked the beginning of an idea-exchange partnership. Both institutions are now preparing to empower the next generation of students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in a world dominated by technology. The visit stirred up a deeper conversation about how they can work together to build a future where creative invention and digital literacy are at the center of education.
These are two things mentioned to forge the partnership of IBSUniversity SOIT and Sogeri NSoE:
- Outreach Programs: IBSUniversity SOIT is ready to offer outreach programs for Sogeri NSoE students based on their areas of interest related to IT.
- STEM Training for Teachers: Focused on Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Python programming, this training will allow NSoE staff to have in-depth skills for the future.
Two IT students were also present to showcase their projects. They offered to provide their guidance to the students of Sogeri National School of Excellence when needed, making a point that this partnership is about more than just education—it’s about empowering the next generation of tech inventors.
This partnership between IBSUniversity and Sogeri NSoE is set to create a lasting impact, a proactive approach to enable practical and technological invention and digital literacy among students and educators alike.
