The IBSUniversity (IBSU) Annual HE/SHE Pageant was held at the Sir McPherson Open Arena on August 14-15, 2025, bringing two days of excitement, fashion, and talent to the IBSU community.

Organised by the Student Affairs Department, the pageant featured eight contestants (four female and four male) each representing the four schools of the university. Contestants took part in runway walks, cultural segments, talent showcases, and impromptu speeches, with judging led by IBSU staff members Ms. Emerald Geva Ninihili-Vui, Ms. Kipilie Telape, Ms. Bethy Kagl, andMs. Jobelle Bautista, alongside external expert judges Desmond Malus, a Senior Male Model with 10 years in the PNG fashion industry, and Amy Paskalis, an IBSU alumna with eight years of modeling experience, now working as a tax accountant.

The pageant crowned Irene Franklin as Miss IBSU 2026 and Balem Asekim as Mr. IBSU 2026, both third-year Economics students.

This pageant continues to be a key part of student life at IBSU annually, offering a platform for students to showcase their confidence, culture, and charisma.

IBSUniversity is not just about academics—it is about leadership, creativity, and celebrating the unique stories each student brings.
