IBS Founder Meets Olympian Manu Bhaker at the 2024 Paris Olympics

We’re excited to share a special moment from IBSUniversity. In this photo, our founder, Sir Mick Nades, stands with the remarkable Manu Bhaker, who recently made history at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics by winning India’s first shooting medal since 2012. Manu’s dedication and perseverance perfectly align with the values we hold dear at IBSUniversity.

Manu Bhaker, at just 21 years old, has experienced both the highs and lows of a professional athlete’s journey. Despite facing disappointing failures and harsh criticism, she never allowed setbacks to stop her from turning the fortune wheel in her favor. Her sturdiness has led her to break numerous records and win over 30 medals, including 25 golds, in International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) events. Just last year, after a two-year medal drought, she triumphed with a bronze medal in the Bhopal leg of the ISSF

Sir Mick Nades, known for his forward-thinking approach to education, found it truly inspiring to meet Manu Bhaker, a true symbol of hard work and determination. This encounter isn’t just a proud moment for him and the IBS community—it’s a gentle nudge to our students that, with passion and effort, they too can reach great heights.

Manu Bhaker also shared an inspirational message for aspiring women athletes: “Never settle for less. It may feel uneasy, uncomfortable, or difficult at times, but don’t give up. Push through the challenges and stay focused on your goals; perseverance will lead you to greater independence and confidence.

Where you are in life today reflects the thoughts you’ve entertained so far. These thoughts have shaped your current reality. What does this tell you? Your external world mirrors your mind. Change your thoughts, and you change your reality.

Sir Mick’s meeting with Manu Bhaker goes as far as to show how crucial mindset is in achieving success. Creating something meaningful will always reward you with a sense of purpose and the fulfillment that comes with it.

Remember, your thoughts shape your life. Master them, and you master your reality.
