The Nadesalingam Foundation for Education Limited, founded by Sir Mick Nades, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Autonomous Bougainville Government’s Education Secretary, Ms. Dorothy Kenneth, and Mr. Tonny Malamo, Chairman for all Principals and Principal of Arawa Secondary School. This landmark agreement sealed the commitment to award five full scholarships to top-performing Grade 12 girls from Bougainville to pursue their studies at IBSUniversity.

For Sir Mick, this is not just about scholarships—it is about legacy. After 36 years of providing quality education service in Papua New Guinea, he has witnessed firsthand how education transforms individuals, families, and entire communities. By focusing on girls from Bougainville, the Nadesalingam Foundation is planting seeds of change in a region still rebuilding and redefining its future.

The scholarships will be awarded through six selected secondary schools:
- Arawa Secondary School
- Buin Secondary School
- Hutjena Secondary School
- Tonu Secondary School
- St. Mary’s (Asitavi) Secondary School
- Bishop Wade (Tarlena) Secondary School
Each award will carry not only the promise of higher education but also the hope that these young women will become leaders, advocates, and changemakers for Bougainville and Papua New Guinea.

Sir Mick’s vision is to ensure that every girl that will be given the chance to study at IBSUniversity returns empowered, educated, and ready to uplift her family and community.
