Port Moresby, August 5, 2024 – Students from IBSUniversity’s Consumer Behavior Unit recently participated in an informative industrial tour of 9 Mile and Ilimo Farm, gaining valuable real-world experience in the agricultural and food production industries. The visit, which took place on August 5, 2024, between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM, was designed to connect theoretical knowledge with practical application.

The primary objective of the tour was to provide students with a thorough understanding of consumer behavior within the context of agriculture and food production. IBSUniversity’s commitment to student-centered learning enables educators to offer meaningful, real-world experiences that boost both academic and professional development. Through firsthand observation and interaction, students explored various aspects of production processes and business strategies.

Dr. Muthuprabha Venkitachalam, IBSUniversity’s Guidance Counselor, led the group. She highlighted that the main theme of the visit was to explore the marketing and business strategies employed by the farms. The farm managers presented these strategies to the students, followed by a Q&A session where students directly engaged with industry professionals.
