Building Emotional Intelligence for Future Leaders

A 4-Week Training with Bryan Earles at IBSUniversity

IBSUniversity launched an inspiring four-week Emotional Intelligence (EI) training program for our 3rd and 4th-year students of all the four schools of the university (Information Technology, Business & Management, Economics & Development Studies & Accounting & Finance) from July 11th to August 8th 2025. The weekly sessions were facilitated by Mr. Bryan Earles, he is a seasoned communication specialist, life coach, and Director of Indeco. Mr. Earles is widely recognized for his ability to turn ideas into action and empower individuals to reach their fullest potential.

In today’s fast-changing world, technical knowledge alone is not enough. Emotional intelligence has become an essential skill for both personal growth and professional success.

Over the course of four weeks, Earles guided students through the four core pillars of EI:

  • Self-awareness
  • Self-management
  • Social awareness and
  • Relationship management.

Each session was highly interactive, blending real-world case studies, role-playing activities, and self-reflection exercises. This ensured students not only learned the theory but also practiced to apply emotional intelligence in everyday situations.

The program aimed to shape and prepare well-rounded individuals in leadership roles, workplace environments, and life after graduation.

As Mr. Earles stated, “Emotional intelligence is a mindset. Once you develop it, it changes how you see the world and how the world sees you.”
