A Touch of Class

What variable or variables make a place special? Is it the buildings, built in a way that complements their surroundings? Or the friendly smiles that greet you as you enter, making you feel as if you’ve been here before? Or perhaps it’s the memories that you take with you when you leave? At IBSUniversity, it’s all these – and more. Every corner you turn, every step you take, all softly whisper one thing, “the home of excellence.”

But what does all that mean for IBSU students? In just one straightforward phrase, “A Touch Of Class.”

Yes, you read that right! Now, join us as we discover how IBSU adds a touch of class to your learning.

Blended Learning: The Best of Both Worlds

An educational institution engages in different types of teaching methods. One of these is known as blended learning. This method is two-pronged: face-to-face learning and online learning, just like a perfectly brewed coffee – a blend of the richness of classroom teaching and convenience.

In addition, you have the warmth and privilege of face-to-face interaction and the freedom to attain knowledge in the comfort of your private space. This method often guarantees that students get the support they need and can perform effectively in the workplace once they leave school.

Inspiring Spaces and Symbols That Tell Stories

The moment you enter the Mt. Eriama campus, 11 Mile, you’re hit with a surreal feeling as if you’re walking into a museum of ideas. Each structure, in and around the campus that signifies a learning space and sculptures, has its own story to tell, and this is why:

The Eiffel Tower – Did you know that there’s a miniature version of the Eiffel Tower standing just opposite the main entrance of the Faculty and Admin block? In more ways than one, the structure is a token of bold visions and building legacies. Meaning, that students will come to know that dreams become a reality when they put their minds to it.

The Colosseum – Although a scaled-down copy, this majestic structure symbolizes dominance and technological advancement. In essence, for every storm in our life, we must have the courage to weather them with confidence.

The Eight Greek Pillars – Much like guiding stars, these structures represent the eight fervent values of IBSUniversity – accountability, integrity, respect, service, responsiveness, innovation, and collaboration. These values translate into the principles of a life well lived.

Aristotle and Plato Wings—Two wings inside the IBSU Academic Block are named after two of history’s greatest thinkers: Aristotle and Plato. Both represent logic and scientific inquiry, and idealism and philosophy, respectively. As students frequent these wings, they will appreciate the need to be inquisitive, evaluate logically, and be more.

Spaces That Refresh the Mind

The thoughtful building designs within the IBSU campus weren’t built for attractions. Rather, they were erected for a purpose and, thus, this purpose revolves around creating an atmosphere that’s welcoming and caters to students’ wellbeing.

Well-kept Classrooms – Walking into a clean, orderly, and refreshing classroom is no different from opening a crisp, new book. It invites you to journey further without distractions while giving you a sense of purpose and enthusiasm for learning.

Progressive IT Labs – Think of the IT or computer labs as a digital playground complemented by modern tech tools that allow students to put their IT enthusiasm into perspective. The peaceful atmosphere these spaces create also fuels creativity, making even the most challenging tech tool feel like a novice instrument.

Polished Halls – The beaming corridors of IBSU are more than just passageways to find your way around. They are trajectories purposely leading students toward their goals. Every step you take has its own moment of pride and fulfillment.

Compact and Modernistic Library – The Peter Drucker Library at IBSU, in its own way, is like a treasure trove of knowledge. With its quiet charm and a variety of readables, this space is purposely designed for ideas to be uncovered and for students to find inspiration.

The Center of Excellence: Building Skills for Life

It’s no secret that IBSU’s core values can be summarized simply as our belief in growth beyond the classroom. The Center of Excellence (COE) handles all staff training and team-building sessions and comes across as a workshop in which the tools for success are fashioned. The staff training and development sessions aren’t limited to the IBSU staff and faculty, but externally as well with organizations like the Bank of South Pacific and the National Gaming Control Board being regular clients.

Here, the sessions are sketched out to fine-tune skills, develop and expand on confidence, and prepare participants for real-world challenges, regardless of the environment they find themselves in. Moreover, the Center of Excellence is where you turn your hidden potential to life in a feasible way.

A Supportive Community

At IBSU, learning feels like joining a family. The faculty are like experienced guides on a journey, breaking down multiplex ideas into easy-to-follow maps. Meanwhile, the friendly staff act as the wind in your sails, always there to support and uplift you.

Conclusion

All in all, in the grand scheme of things, IBSUniversity can be depicted as a canvas for students to paint their dreams on, and a house that encourages maturity. With its inspiring and welcoming spaces and avant-garde methods, backed by a caring and supportive community, it goes without saying that IBSU knows how to add “a touch of class” to your learning.

Remember, here at IBSUniversity, every second counts and every move forward brings you closer to greatness.
